Bellevue, Washington - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - May 17, 2007 - InfoSpace, Inc., search engine technology firm, has appointed the current Chief Financial Officer of venture-backed advertising technology and services company, Revenue Science, Inc., William J. Ruckelshaus, to its Board of Directors.
Jim Voelker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of InfoSpace remarked, ''With his financial expertise and strategic planning experience in the markets in which we operate, we expect Bill's perspective to benefit both InfoSpace and our shareholders.''
Prior to Revenue Science, Mr. Ruckelshaus was Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Development for Expedia, Inc., where he oversaw Expedia's acquisitions and led strategic planning and cross-company business development efforts. Mr. Ruckelshaus came to Expedia from Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, where he was a Director of Mergers and Acquisitions focusing on services, software and Internet verticals.
Mr. Ruckelshaus commented, ''I see a lot of potential in InfoSpace's technology and customer relationships. I look forward to working with other members of InfoSpace's Board and management team to capitalize on these strengths and enhance shareholder value.''
With the addition of Mr. Ruckelshaus and the previously announced appointment of Nick Graziano, which has been formalized by InfoSpace's Board, the Company's Board is now comprised of nine directors, eight of whom are independent. Mr. Graziano will also be nominated by the Board for election at the annual meeting on May 31, 2007.
