Washington, D.C. - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - May 21, 2007 - Social search platform, Searchles, has debuted a new contest for Searchles TV, featuring million dollar prizes, connection with its new ratings feature.

In addition, the new system also integrates into search algorithms to further enhance the relevancy of search results. On the heels of the ratings launch, Searchles is hosting a Searchles TV Contest for users.

Elias Shams, CEO of Searchles commented, ''We admire what both sites have done to generate a lively community with voting but we're trying to do something far more dynamic beyond the one hit wonder effect. We seek to use the trust in the opinions of the people you have made connections with based on the content you have shared.''

This feature also brings a new algorithm that Searchles will employ to determine the top-ranked users to display on the homepage. The algorithm is now based on the ratings factor as well as the level of activity of a user. As the ratings feature picks up speed, it will result in much more user control and input into which users and content will be highlighted as top- ranked for a much more accurate reading. This can be very useful in effectively managing groups and filtering out the less relevant content. The ratings feature will also generate an even more efficient search experience as the data is integrated with other key search features Searchles already utilizes, such as the dual box search and automatically indexing the full text on every content page. Searchles is constantly working to enhance search features to provide a forum that enables the user to quickly zero in on content that interests them, discover other users with common interest, and collaborate to share knowledge.

In order to enter the contest, users need to create a Searchles TV channel. Searchles TV is a feature accessed from the homepage. According to the company, it is the Internet's first video player that empowers users to stream videos back-to-back through one player and automatically syndicates updates wherever it's embedded across the web. Simple to use and easy to install, Searchles TV supports mashups with multiple videos in any order using multiple sources like MySpace, YouTube, Google Video, Blip.tv or Grouper -- all playable within one viewer without the hassle of using editing software.

The winning Searchles TV channel will ultimately be based on a) the number of ratings and b) average rating the channel is given by other users. The winner will be chosen by July 1st, 2007. The prize is anything legal worth four million PYG to winner #1, two million PYG to winner #2, and one million PYG to winner #3 most generously converted to the US dollar. We'll even do the math for you because we are so giving. To learn more and how to become a millionaire, click on Searchles TV right on the homepage and follow up accordingly.

Searchles is a scaleable "social search" platform that showcases expertise, enables collaboration with peers and instantly captures it in searchable knowledge indexes. The platform is a hybrid, combining aspects of "social bookmarking" and "social networking" technology with analytical "social search" capability to allow for network search. The proprietary technology behind Searchles is an evolution of the search engine Dumbfind, developed by veteran search technologist and Searchles' founder and CTO Chris Seline. Both brands are wholly-owned by Searchles, Inc., a privately-held company based in Washington, D.C. backed by angel investors.
