Redding, Connecticut - (The Hosting News) - May 23, 2007 - Search engine, Google, is one of the companies scheduled to appear at the inaugural premiere of the SMX Advanced Search Marketing, scheduled to take place in Seattle, Washington, from June 4th to 5th.
More than 500 advanced level search marketers are expected to turn out for Search Marketing Expo - SMX Advanced, the new conference hosted by SearchEngineLand.com and programmed by industry veterans Danny Sullivan and Chris Sherman.
Helmed by the group that drives search marketing and advertising, a segment of the advertising industry that was estimated to be worth $6.5 billion in 2006 - and forecast to grow to more than $11 billion in 2011, information released by the company stated that ''they've known for awhile why Bush is a ''miserable failure'' in search terms – and why the White House had a hard time removing that stigma. They brought the National Pork Board to its knees when it tried to go after one of their fellow bloggers, and they elevated Stephen Colbert to the status of Greatest Living American - in just four days.''
Search Marketing Expo - SMX Advanced, is programmed to provide attendees with educational sessions that are highly interactive, and designed ''to generate a higher level of conversation,'' according to Danny Sullivan. There will be debates, forums, and interactive sessions where attendees can speak directly with representatives from the search engines. And there's a special session, ''Give it Up,'' where audience members will contribute tips and tricks of the trade; bloggers are on their honor *not* to report on this one.
Keynote speakers include Matt Cutts from Google's Webmaster Central and Satya Nadella, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft's Search and Advertising Platform Group.
SMX Advanced also provides several networking opportunities, starting with a reception the night before at the Odyssey Museum, hosted by Microsoft. On Monday, June 4, attendees are invited to a cocktail reception in the exhibit hall hosted by Yahoo! Search. Later in the evening, Google will hold a party on the rooftop of the Bell Harbor, complete with music, food, games, and, possibly a dunk tank.
