SEOPapers publishes original SEO research. Not round-ups of other people's statistics, but studies built on data we collected ourselves: domains we audited, keywords we researched, and sites we are relaunching in public.
Why another SEO research site?
Search for SEO statistics and you find the same numbers copied from page to page, often years old and with no way to check where they came from. We think a statistic is only useful if you can see the sample behind it and judge whether it applies to you.
Our rules
- Real data only. Every number comes from an audit or dataset we collected. No invented figures, no estimates presented as measurements.
- Show the sample and the limits. Every study says how many items it covers, where they came from, and what it cannot tell you.
- Aggregates only. We never name the individual domains, sites or people in our datasets.
- Report the bad results too. Our live case study publishes every measurement, including the disappointing ones.
What we cover
- Do old domains have authority?
- What happens to expired domains
- Keyword difficulty vs search volume
- SEO statistics from our own data
